Four Things About The Integrated Temperature Transmitter

Integrated temperature transmitter has the advantages of smaller volume, but widely use. And here are some things you should pay attention when using it.


First, for the wiring, the safety spark circuit (the input signal line), must be with an insulating sleeve wire or a shield, and non safety spark circuit wiring should be isolated from the safety spark circuit to avoid mixed contact.


Second, wire different types of integrated temperature transmitter according to the specification. And there should be nothing wrong with explosion-proof instrument which has the safety spark circuit. You should carefully check whether there is a short circuit or any other wrong wiring.

The Working Principle Of Thermocouple

When two kinds of material with different components compose a conductor loop, there is a temperature gradient, and will be current through the loop. At this time, there will be the electromotive force between the two ends and this is called the Seebeck effect (Seebeck effect), which is the working principle of thermocouple. These two different homogeneous conductors work as the thermodes, and the end with higher temperature is a working end, while the other one with the lower temperature is a free end, the free end usually at a constant temperature. According to the function relationship between temperature and the electromotive force, we can make the thermocouple indexing table; indexing table is obtained under the conditions that the temperature of free end is at zero degree Celsius below, different thermocouples with different indexing table.

When the thermocouple loop is connected with the third metal material, as long as the two contact of the material are in the same temperature, the electromotive force generated by the thermocouple will remain unchanged, which is not affected by the third kinds of metallic access in the loop. Therefore, while the thermocouple is measuring the temperature, we can access measurement instruments, and once the electromotive force is measured, we can know the temperature of the measured medium.

The Technical Advantages Of Thermocouple

Thermocouples are commonly used in the temperature measuring instrument. Due to the different use, appearance of thermocouples is not very identical, but their basic structure is roughly the same, and also has the following technical advantages.

First of all, the thermocouple assembly is simple, and replacement is convenient. Second, the range of temperature measurement of thermocouples is wide; they can achieve the continuous measurement of the temperature between -40~+ 1600, and in some special circumstances, the temperature that can be measured could be -270℃~2800℃. Third, thermocouples can work with high precision. Installation Of Thermocouple

In production, due to the different measured object, conditions, and measurement requirements, the installation methods of thermocouple are also different. Besides much consideration, there are three main aspects of thermocouple installation:  temperature measuring accuracy, safety, and convenient repair.


In order to avoid the temperature measuring element is damaged, you should ensure that it has sufficient mechanical strength. For the protection of the temperature sensing element, there should be protected screen or protection tube, then, the installation method of the temperature measuring element should depend on the specific circumstances. You should ensure the sealing of thermocouple. Working under high temperature thermocouple should be installed vertically, in order to prevent the deformation at high temperature. If it must be installed horizontally, the length of it should not be too long. Furthermore, there should be the protection of thermocouples. If the temperature measuring element is mounted in the pipeline with high flow velocity, it should be obliquely installed in the pipeline bend. When the medium pressure exceeds 10MPa, there must be protection coat on the measuring element. Moreover, when install the thermocouple, you should also consider whether it is convenient to change and repair.
